Whether you study MBBS in India or abroad, after completion of degree, you have to –

1. Qualify Next-1 -

NExT-1 will determine your score for PG admission but only after qualifying NExT-2.

2. Undergo A 12-Month Internship In India -

Internships in India have to be done in NMC-designated hospitals by all the students whether studying Medicine in India or abroad, with only 7% of seats reserved for Foreign Medical Graduates.

3. Qualify Next-2 -

NExT-2 will ensure your license to practice as a medical practitioner in India and only after qualifying NExT-2 you can use your NEXT-1 score for admission to a PG programme in India.

Most Important -

You need to clear all the three steps described above within 10 years of joining the MBBS course, else the whole degree obtained will be null and void for license to practice in India.
