Internships in India have to be done in NMC-designated hospitals by all the students whether studying Medicine in India or abroad, with only 7% of seats reserved for Foreign Medical Graduates.
NExT-2 will ensure your license to practice as a medical practitioner in India and only after qualifying NExT-2 you can use your NEXT-1 score for admission to a PG programme in India.
You need to clear all the three steps described above within 10 years of joining the MBBS course, else the whole degree obtained will be null and void for license to practice in India.
